BLOGGER POWR : Sara

Sunday, 10 September 2017

Today's the day for a new Blogger Powr post! We are really enjoying putting this little series together and hope you are enjoying reading them too. For today's post we speak with the lovely Sara at www.saralouisa.co.uk about all things blogging. Hope you enjoy!
Blogging and me:
    - How would you describe your blog in a few words?
A1. Hi loves, I hope you're doing well! I'm Sara from
     www.saralouisa.co.uk

I've always found it difficult to put my blog into a box, but it's really just a space where I talk about my experience as a student and blogger!

    - Which blogpost, that you have uploaded, is your favourite?
A2. My favourite published post would have to be the one I wrote about my blogging schedule (http://www.saralouisa.co.uk/2017/08/my-daily-blogging-schedule.html). I really love putting work into improving my blog, and it was so fun getting to write about it, I really loved (finally) getting recognition for all the work I put in as well!

    - How long have you been blogging?
A3. I started my first blog about 5 or 6 years ago, and since then have started (and neglected) several blogs. Sara Louisa started 3 years ago under a different name- and I only recently rebranded in July!

    - What's your favourite part of blogging?
A4. Funny you ask that! I've just scheduled a post on '13 reasons why I love blogging' so watch the space!! The one thing I love the most about blogging as GOT to be the community though. I've especially loved getting to meet some lovely gals through Twitter chats recently!

      - What is your blogging method? (E.g. do you take photos before writing up your post?)
A5. I'm a very visual person, so I've always taken photos before I do any writing for my blog. I usually have some kind of plan for what kind of topic I want to blog about before I start taking photos, though.

        - What advice do you give to new bloggers to stand out in the crowd?
A6. Start out by working on your writing and photography skills. There's no point in having a beautiful blog and a great social media following if your content is lacking. Also, remember that the photos you display on your blog and social media are the first things that viewers see- and good first impressions are vital for successful bloggers.
          - What are your favourite blog posts to create?
A7. My 5 Happy Thoughts are always super fun to write! I think it's really important (for me) to write positive content for my blog.

            About me:

            - How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
              A1. Bubbly, Energetic, Extrovert

              - What is your favourite thing to do to relax?
A2. Have a bath! With lush bath bombs, of course... The experimenter is my current fave!

              - Name 3 things you couldn't live without!
A3. My Phone, my makeup, and my laptop, lol.

                - Do you have any bad habits?
A4. Saying lol...................................................................... and procrastinating by making too many lists!!

                  - What has been your proudest moment so far?
A5. Honestly, when I got my blog domain and rebranded successfully. My stats kicked off so much, I couldn't be more proud of myself.

                    - What do you like to do in your spare time?
A6. Apart from blogging and living on social media, you mean? I love going out with my friends- be it for brunch, dinner, or drinks/going clubbing!

                      - What are your future aspirations in life?
A7. Career-wise I think I would like to be a business teacher, but I do love my blog so if I could do that full time, I would.

                        - Name three things that never fail to make you smile.
A8. My friends love for dogs (It actually melts my heart), my little nephew Gideon, and when someone compliments me on my makeup!

                          - Confession time! What is your most embarrassing moment?
A9. Oh GAWD, why does this question always pop up! Waaaaaay back when I was 14, I took part in this community project where a group of us basically renovated a park near the beach. One of the jobs was cleaning all the sand away from the park, and dumping it at the beach using a wheelbarrow. I took it upon myself to do this, and filled the wheelbarrow right up- and damn I never knew sand could be so heavy. One of the (very good looking) boys (that I fancied at the time) saw me struggling and offered to help me. Me, being my super defensive self, replied with a "No, I've got this", to which he replied like yeah right, you're just a girl, or something like that. I was totally enraged, but my mind melted and decided to come out with "Well I work out". Clearly, I didn't.

We would like to say a big thank you to the lovely Sara for being involved with today's BLOGGER POWR. Make sure you give her a little follow over on Twitter at @saralouisaxo.

                            Until next time,
